Dimples makes me wish I lived in Japantown so I could be a regular here.

Walking down those stairs and into Dimples is like walking into a scene from "Lost in Translation". The bar itself is manned by friendly chain-smoking asian ladies and has some awesome lighting. Across from the bar there are several comfortable lounge booths with mirrors surrounding them, and then there are several karaoke(?) rooms in the back.

When I went all beers, from bud to heineken, were $5. Glenlivet was $8.

While it's not the cheapest place, the atmosphere makes it completely worth it.

The bar was a little quiet and dead when my friends and I went, but I guess it's a fine place to start the night and have a small chat.

I had the Apple Martini, which was actually decently made, although it probably needed a little bit more apple liquor or some kind of apple flavor.

The lady bartending for us was nice, and we got some tiny snacks to much on with our drinks.

i was waiting for a table at a restaurant nearby and heard people singing from outside. This place is downstairs so it might be a little hard to find but when i came in around 6 the whole bar was singing and having a good time.Drink selection is limited but not bad and the bartender was very sweet.

Came here on travel from LA, our group was pondering on which bar to visit and this establishment caught our eye. The Bartender was pleasant to speak to and made our drinks quickly and tastily. Definitely recommend trying this bar if you're around and are unsure of where to go in J-Town.

Hmmm completely empty when we arrived around 8 on a Monday. Not too unusual I suppose. The lady waitres was extremely friendly, so I can pretty much tell what the other reviewers mean by "hostess bar?" Haha. My drink was decent, however--i got the lemon drop -- I think it was because we were literally the only customers there though. There's actually just a "smoking room", the whole place isn't essentially smoke free. Drinks are about $10 each,  pretty average prices, if not slightly below. The atmosphere is pretty nice for an evening run. 3 stars over all!
